Biography
Mr. Michael McMillan served as Chief Branding Officer at Heartland Payment Systems. He is responsible for Heartland's brand strategy including marketing, advertising, public relations, corporate communication and design initiatives. A renowned visual communicator, best-selling author, creative consultant and public speaker, Michael joined Heartland in January 2014. Early in his career, he founded a visual communications firm specializing in brand positioning, corporate identity and strategic marketing. A partial client list includes Aon Hewitt, AT&T, Deere, Dow, Motorola, the NBA and Siemens, and numerous sports and music legends. His work has been recognized by major design, marketing, advertising and communication organizations around the world. His creative direction on Michael Jordan's New York Times best-seller, Rare Air, established a new niche in retail publishing. As a public speaker, he has presented to audiences in the Middle East, Europe, Canada, South America, and throughout the United States on topics that include change, creativity, innovation and teamwork. A partial client list includes Abbott, AIA (American Institute of Architects), FedEx, IABC (International Association of Business Communicators), Kaiser Permanente, Nestlé Purina, PepsiCo, Safeway, State Farm, Toshiba, United Way, Verizon and Volvo. He holds a bachelor's degree in Visual Communications from Northern Illinois University.
