Biography

Mr. Sean Kraus serves as Senior Vice President & Senior Portfolio Manager at Whittier Trust Company. He is responsible for managing portfolios for individual high net worth clients, foundations and endowments. Prior to joining Whittier Trust, Sean worked as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Marketing for a top Los Angeles wealth management team at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Chief Investment Officer for Citizens Trust (a division of Citizens Business Bank), and an institutional equity analyst and portfolio manager at Provident Investment Counsel in Pasadena where he co-managed the firm's large-cap and long-short equity strategies. Sean brings to Whittier Trust eighteen years of experience in global macroeconomics, equity research, fixed income analysis, portfolio management, and asset allocation. A frequent speaker and recognized authority on investment topics, Sean has been interviewed by CNBC, Fox Business News, Bloomberg Television, the Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch.com, Barron's, and several other notable media outlets. Sean received his MBA with Distinction (Beta Gamma Sigma) from the 9J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He earned his J.D. from the Emory University School of Law and his BA degree in International Studies with a concentration in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University. Sean is a member of the State Bar of California and is a CFA® charterholder.
