Biography

Dr. Rita Ciccone serves as Senior Partner and Head of Regulatory, Legal and Corporate Affairs at Fondi Italiani per le Infrastrutture. She serves as Board Member at Holding di Investimenti in Sanita e Infrastrutture. She serves as Board Member at Sagat. She also serves as Board Member at San Marco Bioenergie. Furthermore, she has been working for F2i since September 2013. In the previous five years, she was head of the regulatory, legal and corporate management of Alitalia-CAI and was also the Secretary of the Board of Directors and previously, a consultant for Antitrust and EU matters during the start-up phase. In 2008, she was a consultant for AEEG and the Ministry of Economics (Department for Fiscal Policies), as an expert in EU law. Prior to that, she worked for 15 years in the European Institutions, first with the Secretariat-General of the European Commission, then as an Official with the Legal Service of the Commission itself, and finally as a Referendary in the European Court of Justice and the Court of the first instance. She was the Head of Cabinet and then Secretary-General of the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM), with an involvement in the meetings of the College, and was responsible for the functioning of the services and offices of the Authority. She is currently an ordinary member of the Superior Council of Communication, a Professor in the Faculty of Law of Bari's LUM University, and a member of the college of lecturers for the "Competition and market law of the European Union" Ph.D. at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University in Naples.
