Biography

Mr. Angel Morales is a Co-Founder & serves as Chief Executive Officer at Morales Capital. He also serves as Advisor at Innovare - Social Innovation Partners. He also serves as a Board Member at Cano Health. He is a Senior Advisor at Avance Investment Management. He served as a Senior Advisor at Star Mountain Capital. He served as a Board Member at Carson Life. He has nearly 20 years of Private Equity experience and was formerly Managing Director and co-head of BAML Capital Partners, the internal private equity group of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He joined Merrill Lynch's Global Private Equity Group (MLGPE) in 1996 as a member of the founding team. He has worked with early-stage businesses, middle-market companies as well as Fortune 500 firms in the United States and abroad. He was responsible for ten transactions during his career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch that generated a total profit of over $1 billion. He currently serves as a Director and Audit Committee Chair of Aeolus Re, a global property catastrophe reinsurance company based in Bermuda. He served as a Director and Executive Committee member of The Hertz Corporation from 2010 to 2013. Hertz is a leading global car and equipment rental company that is publicly traded in the U.S. He also served as a Director and Strategic and Nomination Committee member of Rexel S.A. from 2011 to 2013. Rexel is a leading global electrical equipment distributor that is publicly traded in France. He previously served on a number of other Boards of Directors including (i) Nuveen, a leading asset manager with more than $200 billion of Assets Under Management; (ii) National Powersport Auctions, a middle-market auctioneer of motorcycles and other Powersports; (iii) Definity Health Corporation, the pioneer in consumer-driven healthcare benefit programs and a firm that was sold to UnitedHealth; and (iv) Sentillion, a leading healthcare information technology company that was sold to Microsoft. He serves as a Director of the National Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the nation's largest not-for-profit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education. He also serves as a Trustee and Finance Committee member of the Oliver Scholars Program, an organization that prepares gifted Latino and African-American students for success at leading independent high schools and prestigious colleges. He is also a Member of the New America Alliance, an organization comprised of over 100 prominent American Latino entrepreneurs and business leaders who are committed to giving back to the community. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Harvard University.
