Biography

Mr. Rick Martin served as the Chief Operating Officer at Halifax Media Group. Previously, he was working for Freedom Communications. He has been in the industry for 20 years and began his career with Boone newspapers in Troy Alabama. Over the past 20 years Martin has held local management and regional positions for Thompson newspapers, Media General and Freedom Communications. He was Regional VP of Freedoms Florida group when they were acquired by Halifax in 2012. Before assuming his current role for Halifax, he served as Regional Publisher for the ten dailies that make up the North Region of Halifax Media Group.
