Fatih Arslan Ph.D General Information
Biography
Mr. Fatih Arslan founded and served as Chief Scientific Officer at Encare Biotech. His main focus is immunological and genetic phenomena and their modulation to reduce damage to the heart. He has vast hands-on experience with various in-vivo techniques to study cardiac injury in mice, rats and pigs. In addition, he gained expertise in drug development via contract research with other small biotech companies during his Ph.D. His efforts to push the therapeutic potential of anti-EDA therapy have resulted in several patents and proprietary compounds and biomarkers that are now the basis for EnCare Biotech B.V. He is an active clinician as resident cardiology and is part-time assistant professor leading his own research group. He was appointed as a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology in 2010 and awarded with various grants and prizes during his career. He obtained his Ph.D. at the UMC Utrecht in 2011 at the Laboratory of Experimental Cardiology.
