Biography
Mr. Christopher Abad serves as Partner at Empyrean Capital Partners. He joined Empyrean in 2012. For two years prior to joining Empyrean, he provided analytical support to the Firm's credit investing team as an independent consultant. Mr. Abad previously worked at GoldenTree Asset Management from 2004 to 2010, where he was a Research Associate. From 2000 to 2002, he was an Analyst at Chanin Capital Partners, a boutique restructuring advisory firm based in New York and Los Angeles. Mr. Abad earned a BA in Economics & Journalism from New York University's College of Arts and Science. Mr. Abad is a member of the Board of Directors for the Lagond Music School, a nonprofit organization dedicated to contemporary music education and performance, serving a diverse community of students throughout the New York suburbs.
