Danny Dalal General Information
Biography
Mr. Danny Dalal served as the Chief Technology Officer at Ravenna Solutions. He served as the Vice President of Software Engineering at TASER International Inc., since October 2012. He has spent more than a decade in software development for companies including Microsoft and Oracle. He served at the forefront of Microsoft's Research division, where he built and lead a team of more than 30 engineers in bringing advanced software from concept to shipping in less than a year. He played a key role in bringing to market Microsoft's next generation high scale messaging and queuing cloud fabric. He spearheaded Project Hawaii, a Microsoft effort to provide swift mobile access to cloud services engineered for mobile experiences, such as OCR or Speech to Text. He played a leading role in developing ChronoZoom(TM), an open-source community project dedicated to visualizing the "history of everything," in an attempt to understand, in a unified, interdisciplinary way, the history of cosmos, Earth, life, and humanity. He contributed to various technologies at Microsoft as well as startups outside of Microsoft. Notably his broad technical experience includes mobile, scaled architectures, graphics, systems, as well as agile web technologies. His early contribution to Microsoft Research in the late 90's set the foundation for what later became WPF and Silverlight(R). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Math, Computer Science and Finance from Carnegie Mellon University.
