Biography

Mr. George Shaw serves as Chief Executive Officer at Lisbon Valley Mining Company. Previously, Mr. Shaw served as its Chairman. He served as a Partner at Warren Hall Capital. He has more than 18 years of experience in private equity, restructuring investment banking and strategy/business development. He currently serves as Chairman of Lisbon Valley Mining Company (LVMC), an open pit copper mine located in La Sal, Utah. Prior to Lisbon Valley Mining Company, Mr. Shaw was Chairman of the parent company of Pedersen Power Products, a switchgear manufacturer located in Omaha, Nebraska. Both Pedersen Power Products and LVMC were purchased during his time with Renewal Capital, a private equity fund focused on small distressed control equity investments (single fund LP PartnerRe NYSE: PRE). Mr. Shaw was also a Vice President at Gordian Group focused on restructuring and distressed M&A assignments across a wide array of industries, including steel, refining and manufacturing. He has held strategy and business development positions with Viacom (MTVN) and Moncrief Oil International, including project finance and M&A. Mr. Shaw has an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.A. in Political Science from Princeton University.
