Biography
Mr. Javier Perez Fortea serves as Chief Executive Officer and at Globalvia Inversiones. He has been a member of the BAB (Business Advisory Board) of UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) for Europe since April 2016 and a member of the Governing Board of the Chair Infrastructure Policy from Cornell University since October 2016. Civil engineer with more than thirty years of experience. He began his professional career in the construction sector and since 1999 has worked in the world of transport infrastructure PPPs, having participated in the world's largest projects of this nature, such as the H407 ETR in Toronto (Canada). He has been responsible for the financing, construction and operation of infrastructure projects in 14 countries on 3 different continents. He worked on a $2.5 billion rail PPP project. in Manila (Philippines) and in Indonesia he built a new $500 million city in the jungle of Irian Jaya with 3,500 local workers in just 18 months.
