Biography

Ms. Cherry Vanderbeke serves as Business Advisor and International Sales Executive at SimTutor. She also serves as Chief Operating Officer at SIMTICS. Ms. Vanderbeke previously served as a Chief Executive Officer at SIMTICS. Previously she was SVP Operations from 2008 to 2014. Cherry brings a wealth of expertise to SIMTICS, having worked in organizations of all sizes from multi-national corporates to small businesses, and in a variety of roles including software instructor, IT consultant, project manager, management consultant, and senior manager. Cherry has had a successful career in the IT industry, starting in 1980 and culminating in her role as general manager of the software solutions division at Gen-i, New Zealand's second largest systems integrator. Ready for a change from the corporate world, she spent five years as a business advisor and coach to small and medium businesses, and also became a multi-business owner with her husband, before being enticed back into the ed tech industry in mid 2008 to work with SIMTICS. While at SIMTICS she has successfully led three development projects for a major American customer, which involved growing the company from 6 to over 70 people at the peak of the projects.
