Biography

Dr. Dimitris Melas serves as Managing Director & Global Head of Index Research and Product Development at MSCI. He served as Global Head of Core Equity Research at MSCI. He leads a global team of highly qualified investment research professionals located in six cities around the world. The MSCI Equity Research team conducts research and develops tools to help institutional investors build better portfolios by integrating MSCI index and analytic products into their process. Prior to joining MSCI in 2006, he worked at HSBC Asset Management where he was Head of Research and Head of Quantitative Strategies, leading a team of analysts and fund managers that provided analytical research to the global asset management business and managed several quantitative equity portfolios.
