Biography

Dr. Luis Paz-Galindo is the Founding Partner at Blue Road Capital. Prior to Blue Road, he worked for the Ospraie Special Opportunities Fund leading investments in the energy, infrastructure and commodity industries. Prior to joining Ospraie in July 2006, he spent six years with J.P. Morgan Partners (the private equity arm of J.P. Morgan Chase), four years in Brazil focusing on investment opportunities in the Southern Cone and the last two years in New York, focusing primarily on energy opportunities. Before joining J.P. Morgan Partners, he spent one year with J.P. Morgan's Latin America M&A group in New York. He received a B.A. in Philosophy and Engineering Sciences and a Bachelor's of Engineering from Dartmouth College. He also received a Master's in Technology and Policy and a Ph.D. in Energy Economics from MIT.
