Biography

Mr. Julien Morel is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Investment Officer & General Partner at Takara Capital. He serves as Executive Director at ESSEC Ventures. He began his career by creating Dasar's strategy consulting department in Palo Alto, California. After an MBA at Harvard Business School, he joined Cegetel as a development manager for Internet business services. In 1999, he founded D / G Interactive, which he sold in 2002, as well as a seed fund, XP Partners, specializing in new technologies. He then became responsible for CRM partnerships at Siebel Systems (Oracle), before being appointed director of ESSEC Ventures in 2005. In 2008, he founded, with Thomas Le Forestier and Rémi Douchet, the bases of Takara Capital by bringing his unique sourcing to the heart of the FrenchTech ecosystem. Thomas Le Forestier (ECSP) is a financial analyst who graduated from the CFA Institute. After a stint in strategy consulting at the American firm Computer Sciences Corporation, he continued his career in Asset Management at UBS bank, then by founding his own Management Company in Paris which he sold in 2012.
