Biography

Mr. Alan Flower serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, EMEA & Global Head, AI & Cloud Native Labs at HCL Technologies. Alan heads the HCL Cloud Native Labs & Advisory Services business and is also HCL CTO for Europe, Middle East and Africa. A successful entrepreneur and technologist, Alan is deeply passionate about using technology to support the digital transformation of business and driving the creation of innovative products and services. Alan has an extensive track record as both visionary and thought-leader. He combines in-depth architectural and engineering credibility with real hands-on experience leading global technology organizations. Alan has created and grown multiple software & services companies and led the creation of over 250 technology products. He has spent the last ten years leading Cloud Native engineering projects. Working with the world's largest enterprises to help shape, define and implement their Cloud strategies Alan has real insight in to executing innovative approaches to IT transformation. HCL Cloud Native Labs are the spearhead for HCL's global support for enterprise clients. These Labs are the CoE for all things related to Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes and a myriad of Cloud Native technologies. The Labs work with clients to help engineer, modernize and migrate solutions to a CF/Kubernetes environment; they also support the cultural transformation necessary to make the vision of a Cloud Native Enterprise become reality. Alan is a Board Director of the Cloud Foundry Foundation, he is a Fellow of both the British Computer Society and the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs.
