Stephen Markscheid General Information

Biography

Mr. Stephen Markscheid serves as Managing Partner at Aerion Capital. He also serves as an Advisor at Intelligent Generation. He serves as a Venture Partner at Strategic Ventures. He also serves as an independent non-executive director of four publicly listed companies: Fanhua, Inc., Jinko Solar Inc., ZZ Capital International Ltd., and Xiaobai Maimai, Inc. He is also a trustee emeritus of Princeton-in-Asia. He served as a Board Member at UGE International. He served as a Board Member at UGE International. He served as an Advisor at E8 Ventures. From 1998-2006, he worked for GE Capital. During his time with GE, he led GE Capital's business development activities in China and Asia Pacific, primarily acquisitions and direct investments. Before GE, he worked with the Boston Consulting Group throughout Asia. He was a banker for ten years in London, Chicago, New York, Hong Kong, and Beijing with Chase Manhattan Bank and First National Bank of Chicago. He began his career with the US-China Business Council, in Washington D.C., and Beijing. He earned a BA in East Asian Studies from Princeton University in 1976, an MA in international affairs from Johns Hopkins University in 1980, and an MBA from Columbia University in 1991, where he was class valedictorian.
