Biography
Mr. Steven Kalin serves as Chief Strategy Officer and Board Member at Simple Labs. He co-founded Man GLG Silvermine. He is Co-Head of Leveraged Credit at Man GLG ('GLG') and was formerly a Managing Director at Silvermine. A founding member of the Silvermine team, he was formerly a member of the management team of the Senior Loan and Bank Debt Group at TCW Advisors, Inc. Prior to joining TCW in 2001, he was part of a management team hired to restructure the US operations of Bank Austria/Creditanstalt. From 1996-2000, he was with Fleet Boston where he held several positions, most recently as a member of the Leveraged Finance Group charged with increasing Fleet's market share of agented transactions. Prior to joining Fleet Boston, he spent five years working at Chase Manhattan where he completed the Analyst training program and went on to work in the middle market lending and workout groups of the bank. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
