Biography

Mr. Victor Aguilera serves as Managing Partner at Aurus Capital. He serves as a Board Member at Ceibo. He serves as a Board Member at EcoSea. He was also a Co-Founder of Map Energy. He serves as a Chairman at Ecotr. He serves as a Board Member at MineSense Technologies, Copptech, and UltraConductive Copper Company. He served as the Vice President of Business Development and Partner at Alset Global. He serves as the Managing Director at Aurus Ventures. He is an investment professional with 20+ years of experience in global technology commercialization, corporate venturing, and venture capital investments across different industries. e designed and is the main responsible for Aurus's third VC-Fund focused on industrial technologies, which is currently the largest VC-Fund in Chile, having institutional LPs such as Codelco (Chile's largest corporation), Mitsui & Co. (one of Japan's most prominent business conglomerates) and multilateral banks such MIF-IDB and CAF, besides some of the most critical family offices in Chile. During his career, he has been an active angel investor and co-founder of startups in areas such as advanced materials, alternative fuels, engine technologies, clean tech, solar PV, mission-critical SaaS, mobile marketing, fin-tech, and social safety. Before joining Aurus, he worked for four years in Austria as VP of Business Development for a clean-tech startup. Previously he was the CEO and Co-Founder of the International Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, the most successful R&D&I institution in Chile supporting the creation of 70+ startups, and leading a team of 80+ researchers and business professionals. He received an Industrial Engineering degree from USM in Chile and has conducted postgraduate studies in Italy (Innovation-SMEs at U. Bocconi), the USA (Technology Entrepreneurship at UC Berkeley), and Spain (MBA at EOI). A professional with more than 15 years of international experience in venture investments, business creation, and the introduction of new products and technologies to the market, he has taken part in technology businesses with companies and organizations, such as the US Navy, the US Army, DARPA, Magna, Aston Martin, and Microsoft, among others.
