Biography

Mr. Mark Weidman is the Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer at Birch Tree Environmental Group. Mr. Weidman served as an Operating Partner at True North Venture Partners. He serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Harvest Power. Mr. Weidman is President & serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Wheelabrator Technologies. He is responsible for overseeing all issues pertaining to the operation and growth of the company's waste-to-energy and alternative energy businesses in the U.S., Europe and China, which includes 25 facilities, over 1,200 employees, and annual revenues of $900 million. Prior to this assignment, Weidman served as the vice president of operations at Wheelabrator since 2001; and president & COO of the processing division at Synagro Technologies, Inc., a Houston-based residuals management company, since its merger with Bio Gro in August 2000. Prior to that time, Weidman worked for Wheelabrator/Bio Gro for 11 years, serving as president since 1996 and in the positions of executive vice president, region vice president and region manager. Before joining Wheelabrator/Bio Gro, Weidman worked in industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment operations and design, and hazardous waste management for nine years. Weidman has an engineering degree from Penn State and is a registered Professional Engineer.
