Biography

Mr. Sandeep Lal serves as Principal, Tata Capital Healthcare Fund at Tata Capital. He joined the Tata Capital Healthcare Fund in 2016 as Principal and drives the investment assessment, transaction management, fundraising, post-investment, and exit management activities at the fund. He has about fifteen years of Private Equity advisory and Merger and acquisition experience across early to late-stage deals. He has worked in sectors such as healthcare, logistics, transportation, e-commerce, and consumer. Prior to Joining the Tata Capital Healthcare Fund, Sandeep spent nine years with firms like Alvarez and Marsal, KPMG, and Evalueserve. During this period, he has worked across investment assessment, deal life cycle support, fundraising, operations management, revenue improvement, cost management, and margin expansion programs. His experience is spread across multiple countries worldwide and has advised more than 50 funds and corporations in India. Sandeep also has vast experience in the commercial evaluation of investments. He has worked on transactions worth US$ 3 billion including medical devices, hospital chains, health insurance, and pharmaceutical product distribution. Sandeep holds a Bachelor's in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Master's in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.
