Biography

Dr. Iyad Houshan serves as Chief Medical Officer at WellBe Senior Medical. A committed physician, Dr. Iyad Houshan began his professional life teaching aspiring doctors what medicine could be. He has worked through his career and now joins WellBe Senior Medical to make that vision a reality, delivering the highest quality care to patients, while meeting or exceeding the business goals associated with healthcare delivery. With more than 15 years in medicine, Dr. Houshan has been a leading voice in the successful delivery of care and services for older patients with complex, chronic conditions. To improve overall quality of life for these patients, he has focused on building care models that treat the whole patient. He has led teams of clinicians in this approach at organizations including University of Nevada School of Medicine at Reno and Las Vegas, Care More Health plans and Health Essentials. Dr. Houshan is a sought-after speaker with the American College of Physicians (ACP), has served as a preceptor, a researcher, and has published articles focused on cardiac surgical procedures.
