Mr. Alain Bankier is a Co-Founder of Simplifya. He serves as Advisor at MycoTechnology. He is an Angel Investor. He also serves as Advisor at New Frontier Data. He served as Operating Partner at Laconia Capital Group. He served as Investor inArcView Investor Network. He is a serial entrepreneur and an active early-stage investor, with over 20 years of experience investing in early-stage and start-up companies. Until late 2013, He was Co-President of The Manischewitz Company. In 2002, He co-founded the Saveur Food Group ("SFG") to create, acquire and build branded food companies and in 2008 Manischewitz was merged with SFG. In the mid-'90s, He was the co-founder of a leading New York-based angel investment group, which was the precursor of the New York Angels. As a leading member of the New York Angels, He invests in a wide variety of technology, media, and content companies, as well as companies in France and Israel. He is a board member and advisor to a variety of companies and has been instrumental in achieving exit opportunities for several of these businesses. Combining his operating experience and his knowledge of the technology startup world, He has focused on investment opportunities that leverage technology and data to disrupt or add efficiencies, to traditional media and manufacturing industries. Before being involved as the chief executive officer of operating companies, He was a founder of an international boutique investment bank, which he sold to BNP Paribas and where he remained as the head of mergers and acquisitions-corporate finance North America for over 10 years. He has a BA in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, a BS in economics from The Wharton School, and an MBA from New York University and from HEC, Paris.
