Biography

Dr. David Gutelius is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer at Motiva AI. He is a Co-Founder and serves as Partner at The Data Guild. He is also a Co-Founder of David Gutelius and serves as its Partner. He served as a Board Member at Ground Control. He was a Co-Founder and served as the Chief Social Scientist at Social Kinetics. He also serves as Advisor at A-Level Capital. A serial entrepreneur, he is Founding Partner at The Data Guild, a company studio and incubator based in Palo Alto, California. He previously drove data science and technology innovation at Jive Software (JIVE) as Chief Social Scientist and was part of the executive team that took the company public in 2011. Jive purchased the company he founded, Proximal Labs, a startup that delivered large-scale machine learning to personalize enterprise social networks. Prior to Proximal Labs, he was the co-founder and CTO at Social Kinetics, a large-scale data mining healthcare spin-out from SRI International, sold to RedBrick Health in 2010. Previously he co-founded the Social Computing Group at SRI's Artificial Intelligence Center, serving as Product Manager for the largest machine learning program in the U.S. Government's history - DARPA's CALO - and working extensively with national security customers. Today he advises GE Ventures Healthcare portfolio, Accenture Technology Labs, and the World Economic Forum, and is an active early-stage investor in the enterprise, cyber security, data, and healthcare companies.
