Biography

Dr. Edward Miller serves as an Operating Partner at Havencrest Healthcare Partners. Dr. Miller is a Board Member at EnGeneIC. He was a Director at CareFusion. Dr. Miller currently serves as a professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Previously, he served as CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine, which encompasses The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and The Johns Hopkins Health System and Hospital, and as dean of the medical faculty of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1997 until his retirement in 2012. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins in 1994, Dr. Miller served at Columbia University for eight years and spent 11 years at the University of Virginia. Dr. Miller received his A.B. from Ohio Wesleyan University and his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Miller is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences and is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Anaesthetists. He is also a member of the State of Maryland's Health Care Access and Cost Commission and serves on the board of PNC Mutual Funds.
