Biography

Dr. Tien Lee is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer & Board Member at Aardvark Therapeutics. Dr. Tien is a Co-Founder and serves as a Board Member at MindX Sciences. Dr. Lee is an experienced biotech business development executive. Dr. Lee served as Vice President of Operations and Corporate Development at NantKwest. He is a medical doctor and biotechnology business development expert who has been a co-founder or officer in several biotechnology companies, including Celladon Corporation, Amkor Pharma, and Onkor Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Lee served as Director of Business Development for Simcere Pharmaceutical Group from 2011 to 2012 and most recently as a consultant to Sorrento Therapeutics. Previously, he served as VP of Business Development of Onkor Pharmaceuticals from 2008 to 2011. He has also been a physician at a private medical clinic since 2009. His experience includes therapeutics for immunology, cardiovascular, oncology, neurology, and diabetes indications. Dr. Lee is also an inventor or co-inventor of several biomedical and biotechnology innovations, five of which have been licensed or assigned to either private or publicly listed companies for further development, including the rIVIG technology for the production of recombinant IVIG, currently assigned to and being developed by Sorrento Therapeutics (SRNE). Dr. Lee earned his M.D. degree from UC San Diego and received post-graduate training in Internal Medicine through UC Los Angeles and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UC Irvine.
