Alexei Slesarev Ph.D General Information
Biography
Dr. Alexei Slesarev served as a Principal Scientist at Zylacta. He made crucial contribution into development of novel DNA technologies such as iBCD™ barcoding for characterization of DNA diversity, direct whole genome sequencing (WGS) with Thermofidelase™ and Fimers™, and a recombinant technology for producing hybrid ("fusion") DNA polymerases for PCR and DNA sequencing. The latter technology was adopted by leading biotech companies such as New England Biolabs, Invitrogen, BioRad. From 1995 to 2000, Dr. Slesarev was an International Scholar of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He was the Principal Investigator of 4 SBIR grants from the National Institutes of Health, and the author of 45 papers, 5 patents and patent applications.
