Biography

Dr. Steven Bass served as Director and Japan Country Manager at AEW Capital Management. He served as Partner at Orion Partners (Hong Kong). Steve joined Orion Partners in 2010 and oversees the Firm's operations in Tokyo. He has 20 years' Asian real estate investment and funds management experience, covering multiple asset classes and strategies. Prior to joining the Firm, Steve managed Japan investments and served as an investment committee member for CBRE Global Investors. Steve studied economics at Gakushuin University on a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education, earned a Ph.D. in Urban Planning from UCLA and a BA in economics from Vassar College.
