Patrice Brendle General Information
Biography
Mr. Patrice Brendle served as C-Partner, Private Equity at Orion Partners (Hong Kong). He joined Orion Partners in 2010 as one of its C Growth Fund C-Partners, after more than 28 years of experience in top management positions within the consumer goods and luxury industries in Asia Pacific. Starting in 1983 with 5 years in China, followed by 2 years in Japan, and 21 years in Hong Kong, Patrice was directly responsible for companies in Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, as well as Micronesia. During the same period, he chaired the "Comite Colbert" (French Association of Luxury Brands) in Hong Kong for three consecutive years and served as director for a number of luxury companies, including Bally Hong Kong, Bally Japan, Fogal Japan, Cartier Japan, and Leonard Fashion Asia. He also led the introduction, development, and repositioning of major European, American, and Japanese brands in the watch, jewelry, fashion, sporting goods, accessories, and cosmetics industries in Asia Pacific, and oversaw more than 80 retail outlets and a workforce of more than 400 as HCL Asia's CEO. French, fluent in English and German, Patrice was trained as an economist and, as part of a Louis Pasteur University research group in Strasbourg, consulted for the European Commission, European Space Agency, and French Industry Ministry. He co-published a number of books and articles.
