Biography

Mr. James Vaughan is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Principal at VCapital. He served as a Managing Principal at Batterson Venture Capital. He began his financial services career in 1990 as Chief Executive Officer of J.E. Vaughan Financial Services, located in Michigan, where he and his team provided insurance and investment planning to the owners of closely-held businesses. He founded and managed William Blair Select, the open architecture investment management platform for Chicago-based William Blair and Company, serving their financial advisors, portfolio managers, and advisory firms outside the company. Mr. Vaughan attended college at San Francisco State University.
