Dr. Steve Hutcheson serves as Board Member at Aemetis. Dr. Steve Hutcheson is the founder of Zymetis and also serves chairman and CTO. An accomplished academic, Dr. Hutcheson has more than 211 formal research presentations and publications, multiple patents with seven pending and has served on 18 advisory panels for Federal funding agencies. Dr. Hutcheson is a sought-after speaker in the field of molecular biology and bacteriology, as well as in the area of renewable energy. His recent speaking engagements include addresses at the Colloquium on Conversion of Biomass to Renewable Energy at the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Microbiology and the Gordon Conference on Cellulases and Cellulosomes. Dr. Hutcheson earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkley. He is presently on leave from the University of Maryland, where he is a professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics.
