Biography

Mr. Bradford Brown serves as Managing Director at Applied Equity Partners. He serves as a Partner at Beacon Legacy Partners. He serves as an Advisor at Connected Insurance. Previously, he served as an Investor & Advisor at Albaron Partners. Over the past fifteen years, he has invested in over 50 operating companies. He has professional expertise in SaaS, cloud, AI, big data, and fintech. He focuses his board work on tech-enabled companies and is on the board of several private growth buy-outs including ISI Telemanagement, Attainia, and CarData. In addition, BBCP invests in earlier-stage tech companies. Presently the fund is invested in a dozen startups, of which five are companies where he is either an advisor or board director: Unqork, Afiniti, Liine, BlueVoyant, and OneVision. He is also a Senior Partner Emeritus of McKinsey & Company, where he was a senior leader of the Technology practice and the global leader of the Big Data practice. He worked with clients to implement strategies around growth, automation, analytics, and cloud. He also worked in Fintech and InsurTech. For seven years, he led the Global Insurance Technology practice and is well-known across the industry. Before joining McKinsey, he was a partner in the Stenbeck Group of companies, where he was a member of the board of several companies and a working member of the top 30 executives worldwide. Before that, he was the Managing Director of Arthur D. Little's North American information technology practice, with management and P&L responsibility. He was also a Trustee of Connecticut College from 2013 to 2020 and chaired the Committee on Trustees and the Committee on Advancement. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College. He also received a Master's in Computer Science from UPenn and an MBA from the Wharton School.
