Biography

Dr. Colleen Cuffaro serves as Partner - East Coast at Canaan Partners. Dr. Cuffaro served as Board Member at Comet Therapeutics. Previously, she served as Principal. She serves as Board Member at Arrakis Therapeutics and New England Venture Capital Association. She recently joined Canaan's Healthcare Team as an Investment Analyst. Previously, she worked as a chemist at Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Research Services. Her responsibilities included ordering and release testing of raw materials and analytical support of drug product development, ranging from preclinical feasibility studies to commercial supply. Recently she also interned as a bioscience analyst for the inaugural class of Entrepreneurship Lab NYC, an accelerator program for healthcare startups. Colleen holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Physiology from Yale University, where her research was aimed at identifying a role for aberrant intracellular calcium signals in the development of the metabolic syndrome. She served as co-president of the Yale Healthcare and Life Sciences Club and organized the annual Yale Business of Biotech seminar. Colleen also holds a Bachelor's in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania. Colleen Cuffaro is a partner on Canaan's healthcare investment team. She serves on the boards of Arrakis Therapeutics, Alphina Therapeutics, RADD Pharmaceuticals and is a board observer at Agomab Therapeutics. Additionally, Colleen is on the board of Connecticut Innovations and the New England Venture Capital Association. Prior to joining Canaan in 2014, Colleen was an analytical chemist at PMRS, Inc., where she worked with small and large pharmaceutical companies on drug product development, ranging from preclinical feasibility studies to commercial supply. She also served as a bioscience analyst for Entrepreneurship Lab NYC, an accelerator program for healthcare startups.
