Biography

Ms. Joanne Chen serves as a General Partner at Foundation Capital. She serves as Board Member at Arcade, Niftory, Foxeye Robotics, SafelyYou, and Tonkean. She joined Foundation Capital in July 2014. She served as Board Member at Era Software. Before joining Foundation, she was an associate at Hyde Park Angels and Hyde Park Venture Partners in Chicago, where she sourced and evaluated early-stage investments in digital media and consumer. She also spent a summer at Formation 8 and Beechwood Capital in investing roles. Previously, she was an advisor at Probitas Partners where she helped venture capital and private equity firms raise billions of dollars from limited partners. She also advised technology executives in M&A and capital raising processes at Jefferies & Company in the Technology, Media,and Telecom Group. She started her career working in engineering roles at Cisco Systems and Nortel Networks. She served as Board Member at Tubi. She has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
