Biography
Mr. Michael Foss served as Chairman of the Board at Sports Authority. Previously, he co-founded & served as Board Member at Independent Pet Partners. He previously served as Managing Director at the company. He joined Sports Authority's Board of Directors in 2009 and became CEO in June of 2013. In his role, Michael oversees all day-to-day operations and strategic growth initiatives, including store expansion, marketing and merchandising. Michael has more than 30 years of diverse experience in the financial and general management operations of public and private companies in the retail, technology and customer service industries. Prior to joining Sports Authority, Michael was the Chief Financial Officer of Petco Animal Supplies. Prior to his work at Petco, He was the Chief Financial Officer of Circuit City Stores. He has also held various leadership positions at Teletech Holdings Corporation, Kodak, Rally's and IBM.
