Biography

Mr. Parimal Depala was a Founding Partner and served at Atoc Capital. He served as an Associate at CCMP Capital Advisors. He serves as an Associate at CCMP Capital Advisors. Prior to joining CCMP in 2014, Mr. Depala was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Group of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, London. He holds a Master of Science in Physics with Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London. Prior to Atoc Capital, he was an Investment professional at CCMP Capital, a mid-market Private Equity fund. During his time at CCMP, Parimal worked on executing a number of investments in the Consumer, Retail, and Industrials sectors. He was responsible for the portfolio company PureGym, an affordable gym chain that grew from an estate of 49 gyms at the time of acquisition by CCMP to 189 gyms at the exit as a result of both its organic roll-out strategy and through the acquisition of the LA Fitness Group, which was supported by CCMP's operational and add-on acquisition capabilities. Prior to CCMP Capital, he worked as an Investment Banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. His transaction experience includes the £1.6bn sales of Avincis to Babcock, US$6bn acquisition of the Las Bambas copper mine by a Minmetals/MMG-led consortium, US$1.9bn bid by Diageo to acquire majority control of United Spirits, US$45bn announced the merger of BAE and EADS, £615m rights issue for FirstGroup, and the successful restructuring of Petropavlovsk. He also performed a Corporate Broking role for publicly listed companies while at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
