Biography

Mr. Taranjit Sabharwal served as Partner and Portfolio Manager at Hollis Park Partners. As a Portfolio Manager, he brings a unique perspective to the role, having over 15 years of trading experience across various disciplines including structured products, foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives. In his last role, Taranjit was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank where he ran the credit business within CMBS Trading. He was credited with growing the business multiple folds and was involved in monitoring and managing regulatory capital requirements associated with the business. Prior to that Taranjit was responsible for trading CLO/CDOs for Deutsche Bank and was part of the team which implemented Deutsche's strategy to short RMBS and CDOs before the crisis. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Taranjit worked at HSBC where he held senior roles trading foreign exchange and was part of the team which spearheaded HSBC's efforts at the liberalization of the Indian derivatives market; this involved extensive negotiations with the central bankers and other market participants in an effort to launch local currency derivative products. Taranjit holds a B.A. (Honors) in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Delhi and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
