Biography

Mr. John Harris is a Founding Partner of Techas Capital. He served as a Practice Marketing Associate at Raymond James Financial. He served as Chairman at American Locker Group. With the knowledge that comes with more than 25 years of experience in investment management, including, trust, private equity, real estate, oil and gas, and investment banking, he helps investors navigate the myriad of available investment options with unparalleled service and a personal commitment. From financial planning to comprehensive portfolio management, his recommendations are made solely in the interest of providing the highest value and benefit to you. He works hard to help you pursue your financial goals with as much certainty and as little risk, as possible. At Raymond James, he has access to the financial expertise and services of one of the largest independent full-service financial services firms not headquartered on Wall Street. He joined Raymond James in 2018 after many years with Bank of Texas Private Bank and U S Trust. He is a graduate of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he received a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance. He also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching - Science Education from the University of Texas at Dallas. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree from The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee, and is a CFA Charter Holder. He chairs the Investment Committee and is a director of the Nimitz Foundation benefitting the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas. He is active in Scouting and has served as a Scoutmaster for Troop 82 in the Circle 10 Council. He is active in the Dad's Club for St. Monica School and Ursuline Academy in Dallas.
