Biography

Mr. Martin Otero Monsegur Co-Founded and served as a Partner at Humus Capital Partners. He has over 15 years of experience as a corporate executive and investor. Prior to founding Humus Capital Partners, Mr. Otero Monsegur was a Principal in a family-owned investment vehicle (FOIV) focused on Agribusiness. In this capacity, Mr. Otero Monsegur has served as a member of the Executive Committee of San Miguel S.A. [BCBA: SAMI.BA], a leading global exporter of fresh citrus and industrial by-products, and a portfolio company. Mr. Otero Monsegur led the negotiation and acquisition process; he then became actively involved in the strategy formulation, and since then he has been working closely with the company's management to implement selected strategic initiatives. The results of such a strategic plan have been impressive as the company increased revenues and EBITDA by 3x. During his tenure at FOIV, Mr. Otero Monsegur also served as a member of the Executive Committee in Ganagrin S.A. (an Argentine agriculture and livestock producer). Ganagrin is a FOIV portfolio company too. From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Otero Monsegur worked with McKinsey & Co. as a consultant in Latin America and Europe. In this capacity, he participated in strategic and operational projects for leading firms operating in industries such as retail, financial services, and telecom. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Otero Monsegur worked with Shell Oil as Operations Manager, responsible for sales and distribution of Fuels & Lubricants in the Northern Area of Argentina, as well as other line positions with full P&L accountability. Mr. Otero Monsegur holds a Business Administration degree from Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board at the Christian Entrepreneurs Association (ACDE) and a member of the Board of Directors of CEAL Argentina (Consejo de Empresarios de America Latina).
