Biography

Mr. Wang Jin Lincoln Chee served as Venture Partner at Vertex Venture Holdings. He leads the healthcare and life science investment activities in the Company. Prior to venture capital, Dr Chee was Chief Executive Officer and board member at Quality Healthcare Asia, Hong Kong's first publicly listed and leading healthcare company until its acquisition and privatization by Fortis Healthcare at the end of 2010. Over his eight years tenure, he led the restructuring and turnaround of the group, doubling revenues to HK$1.1 billion, quadrupling its market capitalization and securing its sale to Fortis Healthcare for HK$1.52 billion in 2011. In 2009, he was selected as outstanding entrepreneur of Hong Kong in the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards. He was a consultant and held academic positions in Singapore General Hospital and National University of Singapore. Dr Chee is an Operating Partner of Advent International, a leading global private equity firm and a Consultant to Pronova Solutions, a next generation developer of Proton Therapy Systems based in Tennessee, USA. Dr Chee led investments and held board positions at Arana Therapeutics in Sydney (acquired by Cephalon) and at Biosensors International, a leading drug eluting stent company listed on Singapore Exchange. He also held committee positions with Hong Kong Government Food and Health Bureau on e-health Records and Primary Care Delivery Models and an advisory member of Hong Kong Trade and Development Council. Dr Chee holds Degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the former University of Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and a Fellow Academy of Medicine Singapore in Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery.
