Biography

Mr. William Holloway served as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at Satori Capital. He served as Managing Partner & General Counsel at Q Investments. William Holloway, chief operating officer and co-general counsel of Satori Capital, is a seasoned investor and operator of private investment funds with extensive experience leading investments and organizations, and a strong track record of solving complex problems and developing innovative, creative, and thoughtful solutions to balance the needs of all stakeholders. William joined Satori Capital in March 2016. Prior to joining Satori Capital, William spent over fifteen years at Q Investments, a multi-billion dollar private investment firm, where he served as a managing partner for over seven years, a partner for over ten years, and the general counsel for over fifteen years. While at Q Investments, William led, structured, and managed hundreds of investments throughout dozens of countries with a keen focus on optimizing investment returns and minimizing tax, regulatory, legal, and business risks. Additionally, William managed Q Investments' private market investing divisions, operations, and personnel. His responsibilities included legal, compliance, audit, tax, accounting, insurance, human resources, investor relations, international operations, fund formation and offering, and structuring and closing of non-public market investments. William's leadership spanned multiple strategies including private equity, venture capital, real estate, aviation, bankruptcy and restructuring, energy, mergers and acquisitions, hedge fund seeding, and structured financing. Prior to joining Q Investments, William practiced as an attorney with the international law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he structured numerous mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and investment funds and partnerships. William is a licensed attorney and CPA, and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he taught courses on financial derivatives and tax. William received his BSM with a concentration in accounting from Tulane University, JD from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, and LLM in taxation from New York University School of Law.
