Biography

Mr. Michael Fitzpatrick is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Blast Motion. He serves as a General Partner at Seabury Venture Partners. He has spent his entire career in technology and has been a successful serial entrepreneur. He has extensive experience in formulating and growing technology companies in a variety of markets. He has started five companies and has taken two of them to successful IPOs. Most recently, he was Chairman and CEO of E-TEK Dynamics, one of the leading innovators in the rapidly growing fiber optic industry. In just over three years, E-TEK's revenues grew from $50M to $1B run rate while employees grew from 400 to over 5,000. E-TEK had a successful IPO and secondary before merging with JDS Uniphase in the second largest telecommunications merger in history. He was previously President and CEO of Pacific Telesis Enterprises (parent company of Pacific Bell). He had responsibilities for Video, Internet Media, Mobile Services (PCS), Voicemail, Yellow Pages and Payphones. Pacific Telesis was acquired by SBC Communications. Prior to joining Pacific Bell, he accepted a turnaround assignment and served as President and CEO of Network Systems Corporation, a public company, specializing in high-speed data communications between computers and LAN's. Earlier, he held a variety of positions in technology companies including Data Switch Corporation, which he helped take to a successful IPO and secondary. He is currently Co-Founder and CEO of Blast Motion Inc. a start-up company founded in 2010 in Carlsbad, California. Blast has developed an innovative motion capture platform, which consists of industry leading sensor technology, an innovative suite of mobile apps and Cloud software. He attended Duke University on a scholastic/athletic scholarship and received a BA in Business Administration.
