Biography

Mr. Dan Vazquez served as Managing Director at Southpaw Asset Management. Prior to joining Southpaw, Mr. Vazquez was a Senior Research Analyst at The Royal Bank of Scotland in the Distressed & Special Situations Group. His primary focus since 2009 was to analyze credit investment opportunities in the distressed financial and retail sectors. Mr. Vazquez joined RBS (formerly Greenwich Capital Markets) in 2003 and spent five years in the Principal & Distressed Capital Group investing in distressed pools of assets in a myriad of industries including financial, technology, automotive and consumer. Mr. Vazquez started his career in 2001 at Lehman Brothers as an investment banking analyst in the Global Leveraged Finance Group. Mr. Vazquez received a B.B.A. (Finance concentration) from Emory University.
