Biography

Mr. Faisal Khan served as Managing Director at The Abraaj Group. He has more than 20 years of experience including in private equity, principal financing and real estate and strategy, in both growth and developed markets including the MENA region, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. Mr Khan was previously with ABN AMRO London's Structured Real Estate Capital division, where he was responsible for commercial real estate transactions including publicly rated transactions. These included assets in the office, retail, multifamily and industrial sectors. He also led the bank's first public non-performing loans transaction. Earlier, as a Director in Strategy and Change Management at ABN AMRO, he was responsible for the strategy and execution of key business initiatives and helped implement the global investment banking sector coverage model. He has significant origination, coverage and underwriting experience across a wide range of sectors and products including oil & gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals through his prior role in corporate finance. He started his career with KPMG in the UK.
