Biography

Mr. Jan Straatman serves as Partner & Chairman of the Investment Committee at Astarte Capital Partners. He is the Co-Founder and serves as the Partner at Hyperion Investment Management. He serves as Advisor at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch. He also serves as Partner & Chairman of the Investment Committee at Astarte Capital Partners. Mr. Jan Straatman is a Member of the Investment Committee at Hyperion Investment Management. He also serves as a Partner and Chairman of the Investment Committee at Astarte Capital Partners. He is involved across the investment process and is primarily responsible for the firm's ESG strategy and operations. Before joining Astarte in 2012, He was the Global Chief Investment Officer of Lombard Odier Investment Managers, and continued to serve as an advisor and member of the Fund Board until 2017. Prior to joining LOIM, He was Global Chief Investment Officer at ING Investment Management, overseeing EUR 330 billion of client assets and 800 investment professionals across 30 locations. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer/Chief Investment Officer at Pearl Group's Axial Asset Management from 2006 to 2008. Before joining Pearl Group, he was Chief Investment Officer for capital markets at ABP Investments, one of the largest pension funds in the world. Prior to that, he was Chief Investment Officer at Achmea Asset Management between 1997 and 2001 and was integral to the merger with PVF Pensioenen, where he was Chief Investment Officer before the merger. He began his career as director of research and portfolio management at GIM/GIM Capital Management in 1983. Holds an MBA with a specialization in finance and accountancy from the University of Hasselt in 1988. He also holds a BA in business administration from the College for Business Administration and Economics in Eindhoven.
