Biography
Ms. Anuscha Ahmed served as Managing Director at The Abraaj Group. Ahmed joined Abraaj in 2007 as a member of the investment team and has over nine years of experience in investment banking and alternative asset management. At Abraaj she has evaluated numerous investment opportunities across the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region covering a broad spectrum of industries including healthcare, real estate, cement, glass, power, IT, media and construction. Ms. Ahmed was part of the core team that, in 2009, launched ASAS, Abraaj's income generating fund focused on investing in operationally essential real estate assets across the Middle East and North Africa. Ms. Ahmed has also been involved in several strategic initiatives for the Group and was involved in executing the acquisition of Aureos Capital in 2011 / 2012. Prior to joining Abraaj, Ms. Ahmed worked with Dresdner Kleinwort in New York as an analyst in a media group, working on mergers and acquisitions and film financing projects.
