Biography

Mr. Peter Clifton served as Chief Executive Officer at Evaporcool. Mr. Clifton began his career and spent thirteen years with Ernst & Young (E&Y). Before leaving as a Senior Audit Manager, Mr. Clifton was assigned the executive audit responsibilities for the largest SEC client in the Memphis office. Additionally, Mr. Clifton had responsibilities for several retailer merchant audit engagements as well as numerous other industries, including manufacturing and wholesale. After leaving E&Y, Mr. Clifton joined a start-up company seeking venture capital funding as chief financial officer, where his responsibilities included structuring, modeling, and negotiating all aspects of the transaction. Mr. Clifton spent 14 years in investment banking. During that time Mr. Clifton's primary focus was in structured transactions, but his experience also included investment sales, starting and managing portfolio strategies departments, head of whole loan trading for a major regional securities firm and president of two capital market firms. After leaving investment banking, Mr. Clifton was president of a diversified financial services company that provided financing for the subprime borrowing community. Over the last 15 years Mr. Clifton held CEO, COO, and CFO positions with several start up companies. In addition to executive management and strategic planning, his duties included capitalization structuring and placement. Mr. Clifton has a BBA degree from the University of Memphis with majors in accounting, industrial management, and economics. He also received his MA degree in economics from the University of Memphis. Mr. Clifton is a graduate of Leadership Memphis and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
