Biography

Mr. Niten Lalpuria serves as Partner at Paragon Partners (Mumbai). He serves as a Board Member at Maini Precision Products. Prior to joining Paragon Partners, he headed two global business units at Cipla Limited. As the Global Head of the Animal Health business and Head of Strategy & BD of the Global API business, he helped turn around the operations and re-aligned strategy to focus on faster growth. Additionally, as the Head of Strategy for Cipla's US business, he led the efforts for a $500 million acquisition of a US-based pharmaceutical company. Prior to Cipla, he was at The Boston Consulting Group working across several top companies in India. Prior to BCG, in 2004, he was a founding member and led the R&D and product engineering at QDx Inc., a US-based start-up that developed first-generation imaging-based medical diagnostic devices. He subsequently joined Abbott Diagnostics (as it acquired the QDx technology in 2008) and was an integral part of the team at Abbott which over the years scaled up a lab-scale system to a fully functional prototype. He has an MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad, a Master's degree in Chemistry from Ohio University (US), Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Mumbai University. He served as Board Member at eShakti and TenderCuts.
