Biography

Mr. Christian Klotz serves as Managing Partner at Brasil Capital. He served as Principal, Investments at Jaguar Growth Partners. He is responsible for investment analysis, structuring and due diligence, and portfolio company management. Prior to joining Jaguar, he co-founded UJAY Capital, an investment fund focused on Brazilian and Latin American listed equity and macro securities. At UJAY, he was the portfolio manager of the long-short equity fund with investments in various sectors including real estate and was based in São Paulo. Prior to UJAY Capital, he was a portfolio analyst at Pollux Capital, a Brazilian-based asset manager, founded by Paulo Lemann. At Pollux Capital, he was responsible for analyzing a broad range of listed equity and fixed-income investments in the US and Europe and was based in Rio de Janeiro, New York, and San Francisco. From 2003 to 2009, he was a partner and portfolio manager at FAMA Investimentos, an activist long-only investment fund based in Brazil with assets over $1 BN. He has served as a director for several publicly-listed real estate and industrial companies in Brazil including Abyara (Bovespa: ABYA3) and Portobello (Bovespa: PTBL3). He earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia in Brazil and received his M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School, University of Columbia, and Walter Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley.
