Biography

Mr. Fabio Yamasaki serves as Principal at Syntagma Capital. Fabio is responsible for deal origination, transaction execution and portfolio management. Prior to joining Syntagma, he built up 20 years of experience in the chemical and IT industry in 4 different countries. He spent 13 years at Solvay in Finance, M&A, Strategy and Business Development positions including as the CFO of a specialty chemical carve-out division sold to a private equity fund. As a Senior M&A Manager at Solvay, he led 13 worldwide transactions worth 2.1bn and spearheaded several complex carve-outs. He also worked for KPMG in their Corporate Finance department and started his career as an IT specialist in the capital markets. Fabio holds a M.S. in Economics from the University of Sao Paulo and a Technical Degree in Telecommunications from the Federal Institute of São Paulo. He is fluent in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Japanese.
