Biography

Mr. Weston Rice served as Managing Director, Enterprise Software team at Silicon Valley Bank. He joined Cypress Growth Capital in 2014 to oversee the firm's offices in both the Austin and Houston markets. Prior to joining Cypress, Weston served as a Vice President with Silicon Valley Bank. At SVB, he assisted clients through the complex processes of raising capital, M&A transactions, IPOs, and international expansion efforts. Weston is also active in the entrepreneurial and technology communities, serving on the Board of Directors for several organizations including exchange and the Technology Roundtable, as well as founding a pro bono consulting group that successfully helped two early-stage companies raise capital. Weston began his career as a Trustee Advisor for Bank of America in Dallas. He holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University, with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies and Strategy, and received his undergraduate BSBA degree in Economics from the University of Arkansas.
